Six Senses Zighy Bay

Location

This luxury resort of Six Senses is located in the Omani exclave of Musandam, surrounded by picturesque fjords and mountains. The resort is built with materials characteristic of the country in the manner of a traditional Omani village. Dubai International Airport is about 2h (120 km) away.

Rooms

The 82 spacious villas in rustic-chic design are equipped with a bathroom and outdoor shower as well as a private pool. All villas provide air-conditioning, minibar, safe, sundeck, tea/coffee maker, satellite flat screen TV, wireless internet (free of charge), desk, whirlpool and terrace dining area, enabling dinners beneath the starlit sky.

Gastronomy

Two restaurants offer selected international and local delicacies and heavenly views on Zighy Bay and the sea. The pool bar serves snacks and a wide choice of sandwiches, while the on-site wine cellar provides wines from all popular wine countries.

Sports and Wellness

The exclusive spa area comprises nine treatment rooms, two Arabian hammams (vapour baths) and a refreshing juice bar. A big temperature-controlled swimming pool, a modern fitness centre and non-motorised water sports activities are available for sporty guests.

Miscellaneous

The guest services include: wireless internet access at the bar, library with a good choice of movies, CDs, DVDs, books and magazines. That’s more: exclusive gallery for art works, butler service, 24h room service. Furthermore, two speedboats are available for trips along the coast (charged). The complimentary "Chaica’s Kids Club" programme is specially designed for younger members of the family (4 to 11 years) with fully-supervised, age-appropriate activities. A full programme of entertainment and activities is offered daily from 08:00am to 13.30pm, from 03:00pm to 5:00pm and again from 07:30pm to 09:00pm. Children under four are welcome to participate in activities for the younger set, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Teenagers are always welcome at the A"l Feetean’s Club" inside and outside the scheduled activities. Other complimentary activities regularly available include: table tennis, table football, darts, Wii, football, volleyball, air hockey and a variety of other games and activities.

Important information

Some parts of the United Arab Emirates and Oman are affected by algal blooms (often referred to as “Red Tide”). These algal blooms are natural phenomena depending on currents and water temperature. Bathing in the sea is not possible during these periods and odour nuisances may occur. Algal blooms normally only last for a few days.
